Speaking
Practical, memorable talks on resilience, performance under pressure, strategic reinvention, and building a portfolio life.
I speak on the ideas I’ve lived: resilience through endurance sport, strategic decision-making in complex environments, reinvention after change, and building long-term freedom through deliberate moves in work, wealth, and life. My talks are designed to be practical, energising, and grounded in real-world experience.

PMI Western Australia Chapter Conference — Perth, September 2026
I’ve been invited to speak at the PMI institute Western Australia Chapter conference in Perth in September 2026.
The focus of the conference is leading projects in an age of change with resilience as one of the key themes.
My session explores what triathlon and endurance adventure can teach project professionals and leaders about resilience, composure, and continuing to perform when conditions get uncomfortable.
Featured talk
Embracing Resilience — Takeaways from Triathlon
Doing hard things helps you do hard things. In this session, I share practical lessons from triathlon and off-road adventure on how to stay calm near your limits, break a big challenge into smaller pieces, and keep moving when the easy option is to back off. Drawing on experiences including XTERRA racing, representing New Zealand at the World Triathlon Championships, endurance adventures, and triathlon Epic Camps, the talk connects endurance sport to resilience, delivery, and performing under pressure.
Best suited to project professionals, leaders, and teams working in demanding environments.

What endurance sport teaches us about staying effective when things get hard
This talk explores resilience in a practical way — not as vague toughness, but as a set of habits and mindsets that help people stay steady, adapt under pressure, and keep moving when conditions are uncomfortable. It is ideal for project professionals, leaders, and teams navigating change, pressure, or demanding delivery environments.

How deliberate decisions can create better options in work and life
This talk is about repositioning yourself well — whether that means changing location, backing yourself professionally, growing your network, or making moves that improve your future options. Drawing on my own move from New Zealand to Perth and what it unlocked professionally, financially, and personally, it focuses on reinvention with strategy rather than reinvention for its own sake.

This talk explores property investing as part of a broader portfolio life strategy. I share practical reflections on building a portfolio across Australia and New Zealand, buying across multiple markets, and thinking beyond a single asset to create long-term flexibility, security, and optionality.
